The Live TV Taping was held at the Warner Bros Studios in Burbank. Fifteen members participated as a live audience for the NBC show Undateable. The show was taped live for the east coast showing including a special performance by Alessia Cara!
November was Service Month for NSCS. This month members participated in donating canned food and Jared Boxes. The canned food was delivered to the family health clinic at the Orange County Rescue Mission and the Jared Boxes were delivered to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Hospital). There was a huge turn out for the canned food drive and Jared Boxes. Thank you to all who took the time to donate.

This general meeting was the last meeting before the Thanksgiving Break. A potluck was provided by the board and several Thanksgiving themed activities hosted by Rwanda and Erica. Congrats to Carmen Vega, who was the Member of the Month for November.
Wednesday, November 18th 2015
The fundraiser was held at Pizza Press on a Wednesday from 2-5 PM. The pizza was delicious and everyone gathered to eat with other members and friends. The fundraiser was a success and it was great working with Pizza Press.
Saturday, November 14th 2015
Early Saturday morning from 6 am-12 pm at the Angels Stadium, members participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Members were in charge or registering the participants for the walk which started at 8 am. The walk helped in bringing together the community to stand united in raising awareness of the mental illness and to end Alzheimer’s.

This was the first general meeting with guest speakers. The guest speakers Jesus and Marion were from the Center for Research on Educational Access and Leadership (C-REAL) located on our CSUF campus. This center focuses on “eliminating the achievement gap through data-driven solutions to support student success.”

Our second social of the semester took place on Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm. The social was held at the TSU underground. This was a great opportunity for members to get to know one another. It was a fun social with competitive billiard games. Members who wore their red NSCS shirts received an extra point!

NSCS members displayed their Halloween spirit by participating in the OC Zoo-Tacular Pumpkin Carving at the Orange County Zoo located inside the Irvine Regional Park. Members joined in on carving and decorating over 120 pumpkins to embellish the zoo in preparation for an event happening the following day.

The Halloween Party took place during the general meeting on Thursday from 2:30-3:30 pm. Food, snacks and candy were provided for members who attended. Members participated in Halloween-themed games and activities such as Spooky Musical Chairs, Scary Story Telling, and a raffle. Congrats to Erin Cotter who won the raffle. Another congratulations to the first Member of the Month for October, Charles Daryn Danan.

Our first social of the semester took place on a Saturday night at the CSUF soccer field at 7 PM. Members participated in cheering on for the CSUF soccer team against UCR. Unfortunately CSUF lost but everyone had a great time!
